Prairie Edge Landscape was established in 2003 by Steve Friedrich as a residential design/build company serving all of central Illinois.  As a registered landscape architect with a degree from the University of Illinois in ornamental horticulture specializing in landscape design, Steve’s goal was to create a uniquely personalized landscape experience for the client from conception to completion.  With 32 years of design experience, Prairie Edge prides itself in accurately determining the needs and desires of the customer and maximizing the potential of the site thru the design process using the largest and most diverse pallet of plant and stone materials available in the industry.

The finished product is only as good as the design but it is also only as good as the workmanship of those who install it.  Prairie Edge Landscape crews are comprised of master craftsmen including horticulturists, carpenters and masons.  Working in concert, the design team and landscape crews implement all design elements of the landscape plan thus eliminating the need for subcontractors and providing the homeowner with a cohesive installation process that results in a uniquely beautiful landscape project guaranteed to exceed their expectations.
